💼 What’s
the Role About?
As a Storage Engineering Intern, you’ll be working in IBM’s Innovation Lab, helping experienced engineers build new-generation storage solutions. You’ll contribute to Proof of Concept (PoC) projects that explore how storage can be made faster, smarter, and more reliable.
📍 Locations: Pune or Bangalore | Mode: Hybrid
👨💻 What You’ll Do:
- Assist
in building and improving the back-end parts of storage systems.
- Take
part in research on distributed and cloud-based storage like object
storage or file systems.
- Write
clean, efficient code using programming languages such as Go, Rust,
Python, or C++.
- Work
with cross-functional teams including DevOps, front-end developers, and
product managers.
- Be
involved in testing, debugging, and reviewing code.
- Stay
updated with the latest tech trends and suggest creative ideas.
- Document
your work and present your learnings to your team.
🎓 Who Can
Apply?
- Students
currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer
Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Should
have basic knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Operating
Systems.
- Some
familiarity with storage systems like block storage, object
storage, or file systems.
- Basic
experience in backend development and tools like Git is a plus.
- Keen
interest in learning new technologies and solving problems.

- Cloud
platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
- Tools
like Docker, Kubernetes, and concepts related to SaaS,
IaaS, or PaaS.
